Duotour revolving door consists of two-winged, double-cabinet and automatic sliding door part and glass or closed fixed cambered cheeks. This structure allows Duotour to be used as a full automatic revolving door, as an automatic sliding door or as a completely open and free entrance when the weather conditions, traffic flow or special situations require so.
Structural and Functional Specifications
Two-winged rotating part consists of aluminum profile sections whose sides are surrounded by special air-insulating brushes. Cambered rotating cabinets, each with 25 kg display material carriage capacity, are also elements of air insulation which is the main function of rotating door. (Cabinets can be rented to obtain income, if desired.) Middle section consists of the mechanism buried in canopy and automatic sliding doors.
Cambered cheeks, consisting of single piece along the full height of the door, could alternatively be closed and made of insulated aluminum sandwich panels or with-glass and made of aluminum profile in thin frame.
Two different operating modes can be selected from the key-commanding program selection panel, placed on the door or a reception bank:
- Automatic rotating door: Boon-o-matic motor with adjustable torque and speed control is quiet and extremely safe. PIR motion detectors are mounted in the canopy and they detect approaching people and make the door rotate. When there is no traffic, rotating part can be programmed to stop or low-speed rotating.
- Automatic sliding door: Sliding doors at the center of rotating part stop at the position parallel to entrance and lock. When PIR motion detector senses coming traffic, sliding doors open and close automatically. Alternatively doors can stay constantly open to let the passage of large objects or for more air conditioning.
Lower (internal) ceiling consists of sectioned aluminum panels.
Part of the door framework staying inside the building is protected against dust with plywood or metal covered panels. Part of the framework staying outside can be coated with bitumen if water insulation is required.
Windows of cambered cheek and cabinet are standard 9 mm thickness laminated glass and flat windows in rotating part are standard 6 mm thickness tempered glass.
Illumination depends on customer demand and typically consists of 14 halogen lamps mounted on ceiling panels or let-in on cabinet ceiling.
With the help of many sensors remotely detecting persons or objects, which stand in positions preventing the door's movement, door speed is decreased or stopped. These safety sensors are supported with jam-preventing safety rubbers mounted on vertical and horizontal sides, which carry potential danger.
In order to ensure the emergency escape function of central automatic sliding doors, door is equipped with a charged battery unit. In emergency situation, when there is power interruption, this battery unit is actuated and allows the sliding doors to come to parallel position with door entrance and opening of sliding doors and staying open. Contrary to traditional rotating doors, the lack of middle main column of Duotour provides a complete opening for emergency escapes. This feature can also be utilized to release the smoke collected inside to outside.
In nighttime, rotating cabinets are brought to a position closing the door openings and all rotating part is locked in this position and door is completely closed. Additional security doors are not required.
Metal surface coating can be selected to fit the surroundings. Polyester power painted or eloxal aluminum and mat or shiny stainless steel are standard options.
Duotour AC rotating door consists of the two-way opening, double-winged striking manual door rotating part with two wings and double cabinets, and glass or closed fixed cambered cheeks. This structure allows Duotour AC to be used as a full automatic revolving door, or as a completely open and free entrance when the weather conditions, traffic flow or special situations require so.
