Tournex features
Tournex model revolving doors are manufactured as 3 or 4 winged. Wings could be folded in case of emergency like fire etc. and allow a wide escape passage. Tournex construction consists of aluminum profiles and laminated glass.
Tournex with Display Cabinet. Central column is manufactured as a cabinet to display your products or for advertisement use.
Tournex Star. Tournex Star is the Tournex model without the cabinet. Higher passage capacity is obtained between wings. Ideal solution for especially supermarket, shopping centers, hotels, airport terminals or hospitals, which require passage of shopping/luggage cars or stretchers. Maximum diameter is 6000 mm.
Safety. Tournex can be stopped rotating manually, and rotated by hand in the lack of electricity. With the help of safety sensors and bands mounted on various parts of Tournex, maximum level safety is achieved. These sensors and bands are utilized in sensing of obstacles preventing the rotation and stopping or slowing the door. Additionally, like all other automatic rotating doors, Tournex is equipped with emergency button for emergency situations. Pressing this button stops the door at once. Disabled buttons, providing slow rotation of door for a time for the disabled, are optional. Laminated or tempered safety glass is used to secure safe passage of people.
Automation System. Boon-o-matic automation system sets the door into operation after the motion detectors on the door sense people approaching. System is specially designed for revolving doors and is extremely safe. With the help of a positioning unit, wings will stop always at the same position. Electromagnetic locking system placed on the wings prevent the unwanted folding of wings in case of strong wind. In case of power interruption or pressing the emergency button, wing locks are opened and folding of the door and forming of emergency escape way is possible.
Design.
Boon Edam offers wide range of color and material in order to provide harmony between your entrance and surrounding building construction. Generally electrostatic powder painting or aluminum with eloxal is used. Other than plain aluminum profiles, it is also possible to create color and material combinations by application of aluminum or stainless-steel, brass or bronze band of different color into the aluminum profiles. Door side cheeks are generally made of glass, but they can be provided closed (non-transparent) if desired. Tournex cabinet can be manufactured flat or concave curved. With the help of Boon-O-matic electromechanical engine, door is operated full-automatically and door rotation speed can be controlled. . Automation can be applied to doors of all sizes, however it is very useful for doors of large size, thick glass or having heavy rotating wings due to preferred material and doors requiring usage ease. Using the engine and electronic system controlling the engine, door rotation speed and stopping position can be arranged. Internal ceiling of the door is formed of sectional aluminum panels coming laterally in radial design and halogen spots can be mounted in these panels or in the cabinet for illumination.
Locking
Tournex is locked by key to the ground by espagnolatte locks and to its ceiling by bolts. Another alternative is locking and closing of door's external opening by cambered bolted night shades.

All of our rotating doors conform to European Standard Machinery Norm (98/37/EEC), EMC Norm (89/336/EEC) and Low-Voltage Norm (73/23/EEC).
With the exception of 4 winged 3600 mm and 4200 mm diameter types, Tournex, is a disabled passage door, approved by Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development (DCDD). Tournex meets terms of ITS International Disabled Passage. |
